Gold River french card game

In Gold River, the players are prospectors during the heyday of the Gold Rush. In each round, an original betting system determines who goes first to choose a Concession or Action card from a river of cards in the center of the table. The highest bidder pays his right-hand neighbour, who pays half of what he receives to his right-hand neighbour, and so on. The choice of cards, on the other hand, is done in reverse order, starting with the winner and moving to the left neighbour, and so on. The first will be the last!
